Principal's Message by Odette Hernandez
Graduation, my favorite event of the year! It is the time we celebrate our students' success. Our focus for the graduation ceremony rightly so, is our fabulous graduates. We will recognize successful completion of the Preschool program, Kindergarten Program, Elementary, Middle and High School. As well as recognize academic achievements and honors distinctions. The graduation program will also include student speakers as well as Valedictorian and Salutatorian speeches. Our faculty will help us recognize our students' accomplishments and set high expectations for this wonderful class of students to continue their education and make a difference in the world.
I hope you will take the time to read this Graduation Newsletter so that you are prepared for this wonderful event. We will start promptly at 6:00 p.m May 3rd for the seniors and May 20ths for Pre-K,Elementary,Middle,and High School and the ceremony usually last about one and half hours. I hope to see you there!
In order for the ceremony to run smoothly and the graduates to understand what they have to do, there will be a mandatory graduation rehearsal. Rehearsal for the Senior graduation being will be held May 2nd, 2019 at 9 am at the Lake Helen Campus. Graduates should plan ahead so that they arrive on time for rehearsal at the Lake Helen Campus. Graduation will be held at the Lake Helen Campus at 6:00 pm. Graduates from the Sanford Campus will be transported by the school if needed.

Graduate Arrival Time
Graduates should report to their designated line-up area no later than 5:15 p.m. Graduates need to be in their designated areas early to ensure ample time to prepare for the processional.
Doors will OPEN at 5:30 p.m. for parent and guest seating and the doors will CLOSE at 6:00 p.m. in preparation for the graduates to march into the auditorium. This is not an occasion to be “fashionably late” in attending. This is the culminating activity of over
13 years of hard work for our graduates. Once the processional has begun no one will be admitted into the auditorium until after the National Anthem. Please allow plenty of time for traffic problems AND crowded parking!
Meeting Family & Friends?
If you plan on meeting family and friends at the auditorium, please make sure to arrive early. It will not be possible to hold “blocks” of seats. Seating is on a “first come” basis.
Parking is limited in the Lake Helen Campus. Depending on when you arrive, you may have to park slightly farther away. Parking permits will not be required for graduation parking. Keep in mind that street parking is subject to the City of Lake Helen Ordinances
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN ON THE GRASS.
There is a dress code for the graduates. The guys are to wear black dress pants (no jeans), a white dress shirt, tie and black dress shoes (no sneakers). The girls should wear dresses or skirts no longer than their gown or black slacks and a dress shirt with black dress shoes. Graduation gowns are to be closed at all times.
Graduation ceremonies are intended to be a “dressy” occasion. It is suggested that guests dress appropriately.
Graduation from high school is an important event in the lives of students, parents, and families. It is an opportunity to celebrate the educational accomplishments of students. The graduation ceremony is designed to provide memories and impressions that will last a lifetime. We need your assistance to ensure that your students’ graduation ceremony is conducted in a dignified manner.
It is very important that all graduation participants and attendees conduct themselves in a polite and courteous fashion. The graduation ceremony is a dignified event and requires all attendees to be on their best behavior.
Cap & Gown Distribution
Graduation cap & gowns have been distributed to all Senior graduates and will be returned after we return from the graduation cruise. Graduation cap and gowns for preschool, kindergarten, 5th and 8th grade will be distributed at graduation practice and must be returned immediately after graduation.
We are just as proud of your graduate as you are, so take as many pictures as you need. Don't forget to share them with us on #CFAgraduation2019. We have set up photo backdrops for your convenience. You will not be permitted to get out of your seat during the ceremony to take pictures of your graduate. We wouldn’t want any parents views blocked or graduates picture ruined because someone was standing in the way. Please… help us ensure that all graduates are photographed by remaining seated. You may take all the pictures you like before and after the ceremony.
We welcome all guests, including children, but we will remind you that space is limited. Each graduate must provide a guest list in order to help us prepare and accommodate their guests.
Tickets will be distributed at caps & gown pick-up. Admission to the Graduation ceremony is free of charge but we would encourage that you keep your guest list to a reasonable 5 guests per person.
For graduates wanting more than five guests, don't panic we will not turn anyone away but remember to be curious in the event that all seats are exhausted.
THERE IS NO GUARANTEED SEATING, ALL SEATS ARE AT A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS.
